Restrictions on library opening hours during the summer

The Department of Professional Literature at Klariská 16, as well as the Department for the Blind and Visually Impaired, are once again open during summer opening hours ↗

The Section of Children's and Youth Literature at Kapucínska 3 will be closed from August 4 to August 22, 2025, due to the installation of security features to protect the library collection:

• Loans can be returned to other departments of the City Library, as well as to book boxes, but they will only be deducted from your account after the planned work is completed after August 22.
• You can view the active loan period after logging into your account in the online catalog ↗ .
• Prepared and notified book orders will be issued at Kapucínska 1, at the Department of Music and Art Literature.
